With a total column height of just 111½ inches (9 feet 3½ inches), the XH-9KBPX installs in spaces with ceilings as low as 9 feet 6 inches — making it one of the most compact full-capacity 2-post lifts available. The 9,000-pound lifting capacity handles cars, SUVs, crossovers, and light-duty trucks with ease, while the open-top baseplate design eliminates the need for overhead beam connections and simplifies installation in garages where ceiling structure cannot support a traditional overhead lift.

Designed for Low-Ceiling Garages

The XH-9KBPX addresses the most common barrier to installing a 2-post lift at home or in a compact commercial bay: ceiling height. The columns stand 111½ inches tall and require just 9 feet 6 inches of overhead clearance for safe operation. The baseplate mounting system anchors directly to the concrete floor with no overhead connections, making this lift ideal for standard-height residential garages, older commercial bays, and portable buildings. The symmetric arm design provides equal reach on both sides of the vehicle, with arms extending from 31½ inches to 44¾ inches to accommodate a wide range of wheelbases. An included 8-piece truck adapter set with four 1½-inch and four 5-inch stackable adapters extends the maximum lift height from 74½ inches to 81 inches for undercarriage access on taller vehicles.

Reliable Chain-Drive Power System

The XH-9KBPX uses dual hydraulic chain-drive cylinders with 2½-inch bore for smooth, balanced lifting across both columns. The 3-horsepower motor running on 220-volt single-phase power delivers a full rise in approximately 60 seconds. The chain-over-roller design minimizes friction and extends chain life, while the spring-loaded Secondary Lock System (SLS) automatically engages in the event of a slack or broken chain — providing a critical safety backup during every lift cycle. The dual-point lock release allows the operator to lower the lift from a single location, and the automatic arm restraints keep the swing arms secured during vehicle positioning.

Installation Requirements

The XH-9KBPX requires a concrete floor at least 4 inches thick with a minimum compressive strength of 3,000 PSI. Anchor points must be positioned at least 5 inches from any concrete edge. The overall floor footprint measures 134½ inches wide (11 feet 2½ inches), and the drive-through clearance between columns is 101 inches (8 feet 5 inches). Electrical setup requires a dedicated 220-volt single-phase circuit with a 30-amp breaker, installed by a licensed electrician to local code. The lift requires 3 to 5 gallons of AW32 or AW46 hydraulic oil, which is not included and must be purchased separately. This lift is designed for indoor installation only, in covered and sheltered locations.

Unloading Requirements

This lift ships curbside via freight truck and weighs approximately 1,400 lbs. You are responsible for offloading at your location. A forklift, tractor with forks, or equivalent heavy equipment must be available on-site at the time of delivery. The carrier will not unload the freight.
