Challenger SA10 — 10,000 lb 2-Post Lift

The Challenger SA10 is a 10,000 lb capacity ALI-Certified 2-post lift designed for versatile shop configurations. What sets the SA10 apart is its turn-column design, allowing installation in either a symmetric or asymmetric configuration to match the specific service requirements of your shop. With a 3HP power unit delivering a 44-second rise time, adjustable column width, and innovative 3-stage front and 2-stage rear arms reaching 22 3/8 to 59 inches, the SA10 handles a wide range of cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs up to 10,000 lbs. Standard features include premium double telescoping screw pads, padded overhead shutoff system, plated arm restraints and pins for corrosion resistance, and dual integrated rubber door guards to protect vehicle panels.

Dual Configuration: Symmetric or Asymmetric

The SA10's turn-column design allows the columns to be installed in either a symmetric or asymmetric position. In symmetric configuration, the columns provide even weight distribution with an overall width of 10 ft 9 in or 11 ft 3 in and drive-thru clearance of 7 ft 8 3/4 in or 8 ft 2 3/4 in. In asymmetric configuration, the columns rotate to position the vehicle slightly rearward, giving technicians better door-open access with an overall width of 10 ft 11 1/2 in or 11 ft 5 1/2 in. Both configurations share the same 74 7/8 in rise height and 10,000 lb capacity.

Height Extension Option

The standard SA10 stands 11 ft 10 1/2 in tall and requires a minimum 12 ft ceiling height. For shops with taller ceilings servicing higher-profile vehicles, the SA10EH2 2-foot height extension raises the overall height to 13 ft 10 1/2 in, requiring a 14 ft ceiling. The extension uses the same column structure and does not affect lifting capacity or arm reach.

Standard Equipment & Installation Requirements

Every SA10 ships with 3-stage front and 2-stage rear arms (22 3/8 in to 41 1/2 in front, 38 1/4 in to 59 in rear), premium double telescoping screw pads (4 3/4 in to 6 7/8 in), single-point mechanical lock release, stack adapters, padded overhead shutoff system, and dual integrated rubber door guards. Installation requires a dedicated 208-230V single-phase 20A circuit, a minimum service bay of 12 ft high by 14 ft wide by 24 ft deep, and a concrete floor at least 4 inches thick with minimum 3,500 psi compressive strength, reinforced and cured a minimum of 28 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

The standard SA10 requires a minimum 12-foot ceiling height with an overall height of 11 ft 10 1/2 in. If you add the optional SA10EH2 2-foot height extension, the overall height increases to 13 ft 10 1/2 in, requiring a minimum 14-foot ceiling. Always verify the floor-to-overhead-switch clearance (10 ft 11 1/8 in standard, 12 ft 11 1/8 in with extension) to ensure no obstructions above the lift.
The Challenger SA10 has a total lifting capacity of 10,000 lbs, rated at 2,500 lbs per arm. It is ALI Certified, meaning the capacity has been independently tested and validated to the ANSI/ALI ALCTV safety standard. The SA10 can service cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs up to 5 tons.
The SA10 features a turn-column design that allows the lift to be installed in either symmetric or asymmetric configuration. In symmetric mode, the columns face each other squarely, providing balanced weight distribution and wider drive-thru clearance (7 ft 8 3/4 in or 8 ft 2 3/4 in). In asymmetric mode, the columns are rotated so the vehicle sits slightly rearward, giving technicians better door-open access for interior work — ideal for service shops that frequently work on vehicle interiors or need to open doors fully while the vehicle is raised. Both configurations offer the same 10,000 lb capacity and 74 7/8 in rise height.
The SA10 requires a dedicated 208-230V single-phase 20A circuit at 60Hz. The circuit must be protected by a circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. A dedicated circuit means no other equipment should share the same breaker. Have a licensed electrician verify your shop's electrical panel can support the SA10 before purchase.
The Challenger SA10 is available in Red, Blue, and Black. Use the color selector on the product page to choose your preferred color. Availability may vary — contact Panther Lift for current lead times on specific colors.

Challenger recommends a minimum service bay of 12 ft high by 14 ft wide by 24 ft deep for the standard SA10. If installing the 2-foot height extension (SA10EH2), the ceiling height requirement increases to 14 ft. Ensure a minimum of 72 inches (6 ft) clearance from the nearest obstruction or 84 inches (7 ft) to the nearest wall on each side of the lift.
The SA10 has a maximum rise height of 74 7/8 inches (approximately 6 ft 3 in) with a rise time of approximately 44 seconds. The 3HP single-phase motor operates at 208-230V and delivers consistent lift speed at the full 10,000 lb rated capacity.
Yes. The SA10 offers two width settings in each configuration. In symmetric mode, the overall width can be set to either 10 ft 9 in or 11 ft 3 in. In asymmetric mode, the width options are 10 ft 11 1/2 in or 11 ft 5 1/2 in. The width is set during installation and affects the inside column dimension and drive-thru clearance. Choose the setting that best fits your service bay dimensions.
The SA10 requires a concrete floor at least 4 inches thick with a minimum compressive strength of 3,500 psi, steel reinforcement, and a minimum curing period of 28 days. The floor must be level within 3/8 of an inch across the installation area and free from cracks, seams, and expansion joints near the anchor points. No anchor bolt may be placed within 8 inches of any crack, edge, or expansion joint. If your existing slab does not meet these requirements, a dedicated concrete pad can be poured to spec before installation.
