Hot-dip galvanized runway coating upgrade for Challenger 4115 series 4-post lifts, extending runway life with superior corrosion protection.

Extend Your Runway Life with Zinc-Iron Protection

The Challenger HDGUPGRADE applies hot-dip galvanizing to the runways, jack rails, turn plate pockets, and slip plate pockets of compatible 4-post lifts. A thick layer of zinc-iron alloys dramatically extends lift life, especially in harsh weather conditions — fighting moisture and corrosion that destroy standard painted runways over time. This is a factory-applied upgrade that must be specified when ordering your lift.

Factory-Applied, Complete Coverage

The runways are dipped in molten zinc before assembly, ensuring complete coverage of every surface, edge, and weld. The result is a metallurgically bonded zinc layer that self-heals minor scratches and provides corrosion protection from the inside out. Compatible with the 4115 series (15K), 4P14 series (14K), and 4018 series (18K) 4-post lifts — the models with 24–26" wide runways that see the heaviest vehicle traffic.

Frequently Asked Questions

The galvanized coating upgrade is available for Challenger 4115 series (15,000 lb.), 4P14 series (14,000 lb.), and 4018 series (18,000 lb.) 4-post lifts. It must be specified at the time of order.
The upgrade galvanizes the runways, jack rails, turn plate pockets, and slip plate pockets — all the surfaces exposed to vehicle traffic, fluids, and environmental moisture.
No. The HDGUPGRADE is a factory-applied process that must be specified when ordering your lift. Retrofitting existing runways with galvanizing is not available through this upgrade.
Powder coating provides a cosmetic finish but wears through with vehicle traffic. Hot-dip galvanizing creates a thick, metallurgically bonded zinc-iron layer that self-heals scratches and provides decades of corrosion protection regardless of surface wear.
